Aborting the Rapture Baby

For us to understand the Kh’TAF (rapture) we must understand just what the rapture is, and what it is not. Christian doctrine usually teaches the rapture is a rapture of the church, but, it really is a super-natural “re-gathering” of Israel (all 12 tribes & others) upon the return of Messiah. The Tanak (Old Testament) foretells of a time when YHVH will re-gather Israel from the four corners of the earth (Is.11:12) and from the farthest parts under Heaven (Deu. 30:4). The Torah says Messiah will “bring” them out of these other lands. The word for “bring” here in Hebrew actually means a forceful action. The Jerusalem Targum interprets this passage (Deu. 30:4) to mean that YHVH will “gather you together by the hand of Elijah…and from thence will He bring you by the hand of the King Messiah.” According to Rashi’s commentary, this means they will be dragged through the air by the hand of Messiah to the land of Israel. The first evidence that the “bring” in Deu. 30:4 is the KH’TAF (rapture) is found in the wording of Matthew 24:31 & Mark 13:27 which identifies those being “gathered” as “The Elect.” The term “The Elect” in the scriptures is a euphemism for Israel. (Deu. 7:6, 10:15, 14:2, Is.41:8-9, 42:1, 45:4, 65:9-22, Ps. 135:4, 1 Peter 2:9, Deu.10:15) Further evidence to identify the event with the re-gathering of Israel is the trumpet. A trumpet is blown at the rapture in 1Thes.4:16-17 and 1Cor. 15:50-55 as well in Matthew 24:31 and Rev. 11:15.

According to the Torah a trumpet is also blown at the re-gathering of Israel. (Is.27:12-13) Now if we were to take the “rapture” passages of 1Thes. 4:13-18 and 1 Cor. 15:50-55 to be a separate event from the “second coming” as a lot of Christianity does, then we have some huge chronology problems. Such a chronology would have the trumpet blast of Rev.11:15 & Matthew 24:31 being blown after the “last trumpet” of 1Thes.4:16 & 1Cor. 15:52. Such a timeline would have the general resurrection of the just in 1Thes. 4:16 taking place before the “first resurrection” of Rev.20:4-6. Pretribbers also want to point to Rev. 3:10 as a proof of their doctrine: I also will keep you from the hour of temptation which shall come upon the entire world, “to try them that dwell upon the earth.” (emphasis mine) To begin with, the word “keep” here does not mean “rapture” and just simply means to protect (shomer= guard or protect) you as in survival with YHVH’S help during the tribulation time. It does “not” say I will “rapture you” from the hour of temptation. People read into scripture things that are not there. Most pretribbers do not even know that their “theory” came from merely a vision of a 15 year old girl who reported the so called vision to John Darby. The two of them believed and taught the Holy Spirit would be removed from the Earth at the beginning of the Tribulation.

Now I ask, if the Holy Spirit is everywhere, which He is, then how could The Holy Spirit possibly be removed to any “one spot?” It doesn’t even make good “common sense.” It would be more apt to be Michael the archangel who defends Israel being removed, but not the Holy Spirit, which would be impossible. Additional evidence is the resurrection. The rapture is accompanied by a resurrection (1Thes.4:16-17 & 1 Cor. 15:50-55). The re-gathering of Israel also includes a resurrection (Eze.37:1-14, Is.25:1-12, Hosea 13:9-14). In fact, 1Cor. 15:54-55 actually quotes Is. 25:8 and Hosea 13:14. These verses are also important because of their finality. How can pretribbers believe death “ends” at the “beginning” of the tribulation? There will be death even in the millennium. (see Isaiah 65:20) Then we hear the ever popular phrase, we will not suffer God’s wrath, as in the last part of the tribulation. These “midtribbers” fail to realize it seems that the Anti-Christ is “Satans wrath” (Rev 12:12, 13:2). We just saw in the above passage the tribulation will be a “trying time” to YHVH’S people (Rev 3:10), but will be “Satan’s wrath.” Finally, if you look at Matthew 24:31 and Mark 13:27, they actually quote the phrases “from the four corners of the earth” (Is.11:12) and “from the farthest parts under Heaven” (Deu. 30:4) that is right out of the Torah, which is used in describing the “re-gathering of Israel.” So we see the following picture by the study of scripture.

Immediately after the tribulation (Mt.24:29, Mk. 13:24) the Messiah will appear in the sky (Dan.7:13-14, Mt.24:29-31, Mk. 13:24-27, 1Thes:4:16-17, 1 Cor: 15:52), there will be a final trumpet (Rev. 8:2, combined with 11:15, Mt.24:31, Is.27:13, 1Thes.4:16-17, 1 Cor.15:52) and there will be a resurrection (1 Cor. 15:50-55, Rev.20:4-6, Is 25 :8, Hosea 13:14, Eze. 37:1-14) and a gathering together to Messiah in the sky (Mt.24:29-31, Mk. 13:24-27, 2 Thes.2:1, 1 Thes:4:17). This is followed by Messiah coming to earth with his set apart ones (Jude 1:14-15, 1 Enoch 1:9, 1Thes. 3:13, Rev.19:11-16, Zech.14:4-5). Then the thousand year Kingdom is established (Rev.20:1-3). The rapture will be the re-gathering of Israel to the land of Israel at the return of the Messiah and “not” a rapture of the church! Israel in this context is all twelve tribes and any believing goyim with them. In Jeremiah 16:19 it says we have inherited lies and this rapture is one from our fathers that is a real corker!! It’s time to abort the old rapture baby and come in line with the scriptures, not what some 15 year old girl and John Darby dreamed up!
