America and Israel : Twins from Birth

     Both nations were founded on the Ten Commandments. It was on a “May fourteenth” 1787 that the constitutional convention began at Independence Hall. Israel became a nation on “May fourteenth”, 1948. If you translate The United States of America back from Hebrew to English, it will read, “Covenant Lands of America”. There is even a parallel of the Civil War. Most scholars estimate the total Hebrew population at the time of the exodus at about 3,000,000. When the Constitution was signed, the American population was estimated at about 3,000,000. When King Solomon’s son Rehoboam was King, he put people under a grievous yoke of heavy labor. The people began to grow weary and rebel. Brother was fighting against brother. Two Kings were appointed over Israel, one over the Northern kingdom and one over the Southern kingdom. On February 8, 1861, seven states formed the Confederate States of America. Here we have a parallel of the two kings, with Jefferson Davis becoming the Confederate President, and Lincoln remaining the Union President. Two Kings, two Presidents. Israel had two separate capitals, one in Jerusalem and one in Dan. As with Israel, America had two capitals then, one in Washington D.C. and one in Montgomery Ala. (later became Richmond Virginia). Both nations were torn apart over a yoke of bondage.

     It is well known that Lincoln publicly stated that the nation had sinned and needed to ask YHVH’S forgiveness. I wonder what he would say about the nation today? There’s still another important parallel we need to look at. When you lay a map of the Tabernacle over a map of the United States you see something very interesting. You’ll see coming from the East the Brazen Altar that lies over Tennessee, Kentucky, and North Carolina. This is an area where some “fiery revivals” broke out that led to the beginning of some large church organizations that preached the gospel. When we lay down our lives on the Brazen Altar we burn up the old man. The Laver lies around the great Mississippi River, which happens to be the Waterway of America. The Laver contained water of course. The Menorah is in the parts of Texas and Oklahoma where the great oil wells are, and what does the Menorah have in it but oil. The Table of Shewbread shows up in the great "breadbaskets" of America, in Kansas, Nebraska, and the Dakotas. Then the Golden Altar is around Colorado, which the name Colorado means red. The incense was a red color that was used in the Golden Altar.

     The Veil is along the great Continential Divide. Then last is the Holiest Place with the Ark that was made with almost all gold. And where should that happen to lie, but right around California and Nevada where the great goldrush took place. You have to keep in mind that this can only be done with the map of the United States, no other country will fit the pattern. Also there were four groups of tribes camped directly around the Mishkan and we have four living creatures before the throne with four different faces. There are also four major buildings in Washington D.C., they are: The White House, The Capital Building, Jefferson Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial. The tribe that camped to the North of the Mishkan was the lead tribe Dan, and he goes with the face of an eagle. What is the building located to the North in Washington that has an eagle for an emblem where “our leader” resides, the White House. To the East there was Judah who stands for a lion, and to the East in Washington is the Capital Building, who guess what, has a symbol of a lion. The tribe camped to the South of the camp was Reuben. His symbol was simply a man. To the South in Washington is the Jefferson Memorial. What was Thomas Jefferson known for, being a great humanist. Then last to the West was Manasseh, who goes with the ox or bull. To the West in the Washington Buildings is the Lincoln Memorial. Abraham Lincoln was a farmer. What did farmers use back then, bulls and oxen! In the ways which we parallel Israel, we also need to look at the ways we are making the same mistakes. We all know that Israel did not always walk the straight and narrow as they say.

     YHVH gave them a warning though in Deuteronomy 8:11 about what would happen to them if they forgot the Lord their God. I ask you, has America forgot her God as Israel did? Look at the curses in Deuteronomy 28 and see if they don’t fit in with what’s going on in America right now. In Deuteronomy 28:32 it says you’ll have children but won’t enjoy them. Have you looked at the kids of today lately? We have kids killing kids. Deuteronomy 28:30 talks about having a wife but another man will lie with her, you’ll build a house and then won’t live in it, and plant a vineyard but won’t eat from it. That sure sounds like divorce and messed up homes to me. Have you checked out the divorce rate lately, it’s about 50-50 odds. Also, are we not passing our children through the fire now with abortion? I recently heard if you took all the abortions in America in a year and divide them by 365 days, there were more babies killed in one day than were killed in the World Trade Center disaster. America, we have blood on our hands! We won’t even touch on Deuteronomy 28:61 about all the diseases coming on us. One of the major things that got God upset with Israel was not keeping her Sabbaths. Are we here in America keeping Sabbath? Are we even keeping “any” day unto the Lord, let alone the correct day? So as we study the parallels between America and Israel, we see that we are indeed a sister nation to her. The name of our country is even in the word JerUSAlem. We see the ways in which we, like Israel, have been mightily blessed. We also see how as a nation we have strayed from God’s ways, as Israel did. We are definitely a parallel nation, a “twin sister” from birth!
