Angels
in Low Places

In
the book of Enoch it gives
an interesting account of
how the fallen Angels came
to lay with the women on the
Earth. They deliberately conspired
to do this. It tells how their
leader Semjaza was afraid
that the rest of the Angels
would back out on him at the
last minute. Then he alone
would have to bear the great
penalty of that sin. So that
alone indicates to you they
knew what they were doing
was sin. The book of Enoch
calls these fallen Angels
“watchers”. There were two
hundred of them that participated
in that sin. The names of
the main leaders were: Semjaza,
Samlazaz, Araklba, Rameel,
Kokabel, Tamlel, Ramlel, Danel,
Ezeqeel, Baraqijal, Asael,
Armaros, Batarel, Ananel,
Zaqlel, Samsapeel, Satarel,
Turel, Jomjael, and Sariel.
These were the chiefs over
the tens. Not only did they
have offspring who were giants,
but they taught men how to
do wickedness. It says that
Semjaza taught enchantments
and root cuttings, Armaros
taught the resolving of enchantments,
Baraqijal taught astrology,
Kokabel the constellations,
Ezeqeel the knowledge of the
clouds, and Araqiel the signs
of the Earth. They literally
corrupted the whole Earth.
In the end they began to sin
against even the beasts of
the field. They began to devour
one another’s flesh and drink
the blood. Is it any wonder
God decided to destroy the
whole Earth with such things
as this going on? These were
definitely Angels who stooped
to “low places”. |
