In
1st Kings
6:22 we read how
Solomon overlaid the temple
in pure gold. This fact
is highly significant because
now “we” are the temple
of YHVH on the earth. We
are the spiritual image
of the physical structure.
The key to understanding
this is the point where
science and Torah converge.
Gold only “appears” gold
to the human eye. In reality
the color is nothing more
than the absorption of techelet
blue (which is in the tzitzit)
and a reflection of all
the other colors of the
light spectrum. Put another
way, when we see “gold”,
what we are really seeing
is a piece of metal that
is reflecting all the colors
of the light spectrum except
for the one color blue,
which is absorbed. Our garments
could quite literally be
these human bodies that
are supposed to reflect
the Temple above not made
with human hands.
Consequently,
when we wear the tzitzit
on our “human garments”
(our bodies) we are a walking
representation of the Holy
Temple of gold. In the kabbalistic
teachings it is said that
Yeshua is likened unto gold.
It is also well known that
the blue thread that is
in the tzitzit stands for
Yeshua. The temple of YHVH
and the temple of our bodies
both stand as a monument
to the testimony of the
Torah lifestyle and it’s
Kingdom. Now we can see
why we were instructed to
wear the color blue in the
tzitzit as opposed to another
color. We are walking temples
reflecting constant light,
appearing as the gold that
YHVH’S temple is covered
with. Is it by accident
that the color blue stands
for kingship and gold is
for Godliness? Maybe this
is the basis for the old
saying, “you are worth your
weight in gold”. Let’s make
sure our daily walk reflects
just what we are, the golden
temples of YHVH who “are”
worth their weight in gold!
