Revealations that Weren't Revealations

In wake of what has happened in the U.S.A. recently, I thought we might look at some of the beliefs of the Muslim religion. According to Islamic thought there are four revelations of truth Allah has given to man in book form. They were: Taurat (Torah) of Moses Zabur (Psalms) of David Injil (gospel) of Jesus Qur’an (to recite) of Mohammed They believe the first three have been corrupted and only the Qur’an is the final authority. They also believe Yeshua was a great prophet, but “not” the son of God. The basics of Islam has six articles of faith: Allah- Allah is beyond man’s comprehension and cannot be knowable and cannot be easily defined.

Angels- Islam believes in angels. They believe the angel Gabriel and the Holy Spirit are one and the same. It was Gabriel who supposedly revealed the Qur’an to Mohammed. Scripture- That is explained in the above. Prophets- Islam maintains that Allah has spoken through various prophets. Among the greatest were Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jesus, and of course Mohammed. Of course Mohammed being seen as the last and greatest prophet. 5. Last Days- They believe in a last day resurrection and judgement. Followers of Allah will go to Paradise,a place of great pleasure, while Allah’s enemies spend their time in hell. 6.The decrees of Allah- All things that transpire are the will of Allah. Islam has five pillars of faith: 1.The Creed-There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet. 2. Salat (prayer) Muslems pray 5 times a day from their Qur’an. 3. Zakkat (alms) Muslems give 1/40th of their income to the poor. 4. Ramadan They observe the 7th month of the lunar calendar by fasting, no food or drink are taken by daylight. 5. Hajj (Pilgrimage) They must all go once in their life to Mecca. So we see that their “revelations” were really “deceptions”.
